| Homeland Precious Metals Corp. Further Increases Nevada Land Position
January 9, 2006 Vancouver, British Columbia--Homeland Precious Metals Corp. (OTCBB: HPMEF) is pleased to announce the acquisition of an additional 73 unpatented mining claims surrounding its Montgomery Pass gold-silver project in Mineral County, Nevada. This land consolidation brings the total area of the project to 1620 acres (2.5 square miles), a ten-fold increase in land position for this project alone. HPMEF now controls 8 epithermal gold and silver targets hosted within a sequence of Tertiary volcanics and Paleozoic sediments. Historic exploration efforts have defined high grade gold and silver values occurring in surface sampling and drilling within the various target areas. Historic exploration results include values to 0.47 opt gold in drilling within the Hound Dog Hill target and 32 opt silver in underground sampling at the BX Pit target. The Montgomery Pass project is situated near the center of the prolific Walker Lane Trend. Walker Lane hosts such significant deposits as the Goldfield District with 5.9 million ounces of gold production and reserves on the south end of the trend and the Comstock District with historic production of 8.4 million ounces of gold and 193.5 million ounces of silver produced from the north end of the Walker Lane. The Montgomery Pass Project is an exciting, under explored mineral exploration property with indications of high grade precious metals values similar to the Comstock and Goldfield mining districts. Montgomery Pass provides HPMEF with excellent exposure to additional discoveries of high-grade gold and silver within one of the most prolific and concentrated gold trends in the world. “Along with our Bell Flat project, this increase in land position at our Montgomery Pass project further enhances our potential for world class gold-silver exploration in Nevada,” said Bruce Johnstone, President, “We are well funded for all of our work commitments, and are very excited for our shareholders that our company has reached this significant milestone in its development.”Disclaimer: This announcement may contain forward-looking statements which involve risks and uncertainties that include, among others, limited operating history, limited access to operating capital, factors detailed in the accuracy of geological and geophysical results including drilling and assay reports; the ability to close the acquisition of mineral exploration properties, and other factors which may cause the actual results, performance or achievements of the Company to be materially differ from any future results, performance or achievements expressed or implied by such forward-looking statements.
